Xiaomi is preparing to unveil the new model of Civi series smartphones in China. Xiaomi recently announced through its dedicated user account on the Weibo social network that Xiaomi Civi 2 will be announced on September 27 (October 5).
This new mid-range model will retain the lightweight design pattern with the visually pleasing appearance of the previous generation handset. It is also expected that Xiaomi Civi 2 will have a customized version called Trend Partner with “Hello Kitty” character.
Xiaomi Civi 2 will be equipped with a triple camera configuration of 50 megapixels on its back panel. Also, this handset will use the island module similar to the Xiaomi 12 series with a modular design. The main and ultra-wide cameras of the handset are located in a large circular cavity; While the smaller hole is placed next to the dual LED flash and will probably host a 2-megapixel sensor.
Currently, limited details have been published about the specifications of the front panel of the device. However, the prominence of the power button shows that it will not be possible to integrate the fingerprint scanner with this button. This means that Xiaomi Civi 2 will use the old display panel and the fingerprint scanner will be installed in its lower part.

Also, this display will have at least the same specifications as the panel used in Xiaomi Civi 1S. Therefore, support for 120 Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution seems almost certain. The pricing and release time of this handset will be announced at the same time as its introduction on Tuesday. However, it is expected that we will see the release of more promotional teasers about this smartphone in the coming days.
