Xiaomi 13 and Redmi Note 12 received ECC certification

About a month ago, on July 23, Xiaomi officially unveiled its 3 new flagship smartphones: Xiaomi 12S, Xiaomi 12S Pro, and Xiaomi 12S Ultra. Now a report has been published that refers to the next generation of Xiaomi flagship smartphones. According to the MySmartPrice website, a new Xiaomi smartphone has recently received ECC certification.

The certification listing shows that these new models use the IDs 2210132G and 2210133G respectively. The reasons mentioned in this report lead us to believe that these 2 model numbers belong to the new Xiaomi 13 series. In addition, 2 new phones from the Redmi brand have also received the ECC certificate. The new Redmi smartphones use the model numbers 22101316G and 22101316UG respectively. It is also claimed in this report that the 2 mentioned handsets are members of the Redmi Note 12 family.

It is worth noting that the presence of the letter G at the end of the product model number probably indicates that the smartphone in question is considered a global model. This means that the above gadgets will be available both in the Chinese market and in the global markets. At the same time, these new phones are registered under the Xiaomi Communications brand. The certification website did not mention any other details about the handsets, including their hardware configuration.

Speculations about the Xiaomi 13 series

According to a well-known tech blogger with the handle Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi 13 series will be launched soon during November. In terms of configuration, the Xiaomi 13 series probably uses the multi-pole single cell idea. Also, this series is equipped with a 100 watt battery and this battery receives its energy from a fast charging IC developed by Xiaomi. In terms of wireless charging capabilities, this series also supports 50 watts. According to Chinese law, production devices will be allowed to use wireless charging technology with a maximum power of 50 watts.

At the same time, the blogger claims that the single-cell design idea helps to properly manage the volume of the smartphone. Therefore, it is expected that carrying the Xiaomi 13 series in hand will not be too difficult. According to previous reports, only the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro models will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 generation 2 chip. In addition, the Xiaomi 13 series will use a flexible curved display with ultra-thin bezels, 120Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution.
