Last year, MediaTek launched the first chip based on TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process. This product was one of the first chips that used the high-performance ARM Cortex-X2 processing core. Considering that there is not much time left until the month of November; Therefore, predicting the introduction of the new generation of MediaTek’s flagship chip seems logical.
According to a reliable leaker, MediaTek is preparing to launch the Dimensity 9200 chip with an ARM Cortex-X3 processing core next month. This chip promises a 25% performance improvement over its previous generation model. It is also expected that this chip will use a new GPU named Immortalis G715. This will help to further improve the performance capabilities of the chip.
This chip is produced based on TSMC’s 4nm process and will probably use Cortex A710 and Cortex A510 processing cores like the previous model. According to predictions, the Dimensity 9200 chip will be used in different handsets much earlier than its previous generation model. In this regard, it is expected that Oppo and Vivo products equipped with the Dimensity 9200 chip will be launched in December 2022.
