Xiaomi’s sub-brand known as Redmi earlier in May unveiled the Redmi Note 11SE smartphone in the Chinese market. This handset is equipped with 90 Hz LCD display, Dimensity 700 chip and 48 megapixel main camera. Today, the company unveiled a new version of Redmi Note 11SE with a different design and specifications in the Indian market.
According to the announcement of the Redmi India Twitter account, this handset will be released on August 26. The processing power of the new Redmi Note 11SE model will be provided by the Helio G95 chip made by Mediatek. In addition, this smartphone will be released by default with the MIUI 12.5 user interface based on the Android 11 operating system.
The new version of Redmi Note 11SE can be ordered with 3 different memory configurations including 6 GB RAM + 64 GB internal memory, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB internal memory and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB internal memory. This smartphone is based on a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate. In addition, the required energy of the device is provided by a 5000 mAh battery with the ability to support 33 W fast charging.
In terms of imaging capabilities, a 13-megapixel selfie camera is installed on the front panel of the phone; While the quad camera configuration on the back panel consists of a 64-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro module, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Other notable features of the Redmi Note 11SE include a USB-C port, a fingerprint scanner on the side of the body, and an infrared port.
This smartphone has received an IP53 protection certificate against water and dust penetration and is equipped with a 3.5 mm audio jack for headphones, stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio certification and an internal NFC chip. If all these specifications seem familiar to you; This is because the new Redmi Note 11SE model is only a rebranded Redmi Note 10S model. Redmi Note 10S equipped with NFC connection was launched in India last May. The strange thing is that Redmi has even taken advantage of the graphic content and marketing of the dedicated Redmi Note 10S page once again.
It is not yet clear what reason Xiaomi has to justify re-launching a one-year-old smartphone in the Indian market; Because Redmi Note 10S is still sold through the company’s official website and Redmi Note 11SE is available to buyers through online sales channels. Xiaomi Group is very fond of rebranding its smartphones and using a confusing naming pattern; Therefore, this time, the release of a handset with 2 different names does not seem so surprising.
Available color models for Redmi Note 11SE
In any case, the sale of the new Redmi Note 11SE model in India will begin on August 31 (September 9) on the Mi.com website and Flipkart store. Also, this handset will be available in 4 different colors including Thunder Purple, Cosmic White, Shadow Black and Bifrost Blue. The pricing details of this smartphone will be announced on September 4.
