Apple’s new TWS earphones, called AirPods Pro 2, were introduced at the beginning of this month, and their sales began on October 2. Now the first firmware update for these gadgets has been released.
The new firmware has the version number 5A377 and the note attached to it notes that this update was released with the aim of fixing bugs and applying some other fixes. But it is still not clear which bugs will be fixed by the new update and what improvements it will bring. Firmware updates on AirPods are usually provided when they are charged or placed within the Bluetooth range of an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Therefore, there is no standard way to install updates manually. As a result, users have to wait for this update to arrive on their earphones.
However, if you do not know the ID and firmware version used by your AirPods; In this case, you must ensure that the latest version of the operating system is running on your iPhone or iPad, and then go to Settings > Bluetooth > AirPods. Now tap on the “More Info” button marked with the “i” symbol and after referring to the “About” section, identify the firmware version used.
In the Mac operating system, just go to the Apple menu and option-click on the Apple logo. Then select the “System Information” option. Now you can find out the firmware version by clicking on the “Bluetooth” option and checking the lower part of the AirPods name.
