Samsung’s latest smart watches named Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro are receiving their second software update in the past month. These gadgets were launched in August 2022 and recent updates have been released with the aim of improving their stability. The Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro are launched as successors to the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.
Samsung’s new smartwatches are based on the One UI Watch platform and were first launched with the Wear OS 3.5 operating system. The release of 2 updates back-to-back for the new Galaxy smartwatches could be indicative of the inherent issues observed after their launch.
Both models Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro with the same speed as announced before their release to the market; They are not charged. Also, their design was a bit thicker than expected. The new update has the version number R9xx0XXU1AVH6 and is gradually released in all regions of the world. Currently, this update is only released in the North America region.
Samsung is expected to roll out the update to users in other continents in the near future. According to Samsung, this update will still include the July 2022 Android security patch. New software updates for the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro help improve system stability and reliability, and apply new stabilization codes to the watch’s operation. However, the recent updates lack any new features for the Galaxy Watch 5 series models.
