The GalaxyClub community has a stellar track record of leaking information about Samsung products. In its recent report, this website claims that the Samsung Galaxy A54 will be equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera. Unfortunately, this report does not mention any other details except the pixel resolution of the camera.
First of all, this phenomenon indicates a kind of regression compared to the past models; Because both Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A53 smartphones are equipped with a 64 megapixel main camera. However, as we know, not everything is summed up in the number of megapixels. Therefore, if Samsung implements some special features, the move towards the use of a 50-megapixel sensor can be considered a sign of progress.
The 64-megapixel sensor used in the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A53 models is obviously not very large. Samsung’s policy of offering some higher-end features on a number of Galaxy A-series smartphones likely means that the Galaxy A54 will sport a larger, more capable 50-megapixel main sensor. This handset can very well use a sensor similar to the one used in the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus flagships. Although this is only a speculation.
There are about 6 months left until the end of the life cycle of the Galaxy A53; Therefore, we will undoubtedly see the release of more details about the Galaxy A54 as the release date approaches.
