Earlier, in May 2020, Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy A11 smartphone with a low-end Snapdragon 450 chip and a 6.4-inch display with HD+ resolution. This device received the Android 11 update last year and now the Korean giant has released the Android 12 update for it.
This software package includes firmware with version number A115FXXU3CVI3 and security patch dated August 2022. This update fixes dozens of security and privacy vulnerabilities. The Android 12 operating system for the Galaxy A11 will run alongside One UI Core 4.1.
This means that Samsung’s low-end smartphone will have access to features such as improved color palettes, widgets, and a way to select them. Now it is possible to select the sound output device through the lock screen and the dark mode is also available to users with minor modifications.
All the default apps on the Galaxy A11 have been improved. The camera application has a better design and the gallery application also performs the sorting process in a more favorable way. Also, the Samsung keyboard application supports the checking of grammar rules and the sharing menu has also been modified.
Currently, this update has been released for devices in the Southeast Asia region; But it will probably be available in other parts of the world soon. Also, in order to download and install this update manually, Galaxy A11 users can go to Settings -> Software Update and then touch the Download and Install button.
