Redmi Note 12 series received 3C certification

According to predictions, Xiaomi will unveil the Xiaomi 13 series smartphones in November or December of this year. According to a whistleblower with the ID Digital Chat Station, it is expected that the Redmi brand will unveil 3 new smartphones before the introduction of these handsets. It seems that the Redmi Note 12 Pro smartphone has received approval from China’s 3C regulatory agency. This means that there is not much time left until the official unveiling of the said smartphone.

A Redmi handset with model number 22101316C has recently received 3C certification. According to reports, this device has the code name M16. The 3C certification indicates that this gadget will likely support 67W fast charging technology.

Based on the leaked information, it seems that Redmi is working on the development of 2 other handsets with the names M17 and M16UP along with the M16 smartphone. It is expected that these gadgets will be unveiled before the introduction of the Xiaomi 13 series. The device with the code name M17 uses the model number 22101317C; While M16UP device has ID 22101316UCP. The M16, M17 and M16UP all belong to the same series. The whistleblower notes that the M16UP is the most powerful model in the family.

Redmi previously unveiled the Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus smartphones in October 2021. Therefore, it seems that the Chinese brand is preparing to unveil the Redmi Note 12 series in October this year. Therefore, the code names M16, M17 and M16UP probably belong to Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus handsets. The sale of these handsets in the Chinese market will probably start at the same time as Singles’ Day (November 11/November 20).

According to reports, the Redmi Note 12 series will be equipped with a triple rear camera configuration including a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus will probably support 120W fast charging technology. Also, the processing power of the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus smartphones will probably be provided through Mediatek’s Dimensity 1300 chip.
