As expected, Xiaomi today unveiled the Redmi Note 11R as the latest addition to the Note 11 series.

However, as we expected, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11R is not a brand new smartphone. This model is the global version of the Poco M4 5G (the Indian model has better cameras), which comes with up to 8GB of RAM and higher storage. The Poco M4 5G is available in 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB storage and RAM, while the Redmi Note 11R comes in 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB configurations. The smartphone will also have a dedicated microSD card slot to expand the storage up to 1TB.

The Redmi Note 11R uses the Dimensity 700 chip and runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12. This phone has a 6.58-inch FullHD + 90Hz LCD screen with a notch for a 5-megapixel selfie camera.

The phone’s textured back panel has a camera island running across it, which houses a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, with the flash sandwiched between the camera modules. You can also notice that the Poco branding and logo has now been replaced by the Redmi branding on this product.

The Redmi Note 11R phone comes with a fingerprint scanner on the side edge and supports 5G networks. This model also has a 5000 mAh battery that supplies its energy through the USB-C port and up to 18W charging speed. However, the adapter inside the box only supports 10W charging.

The Redmi Note 11R comes in grey, black and blue (there’s no yellow option like the Poco M4 5G) and is currently available for purchase in China via Xiaomi’s official Chinese website.

The 4/128GB model costs 1,099 Yuan ($154/€157) and the 6/128GB model costs 1,199 Yuan ($168/€171). Also, if you want to buy the 8/128GB version, you will have to spend 1,399 yuan ($196 / €200).
