Xiaomi’s Indian branch unveiled the Redmi K50i 5G smartphone and the Redmi Buds 3 Lite wireless earphones by holding an exclusive event. This handset is equipped with Mediatek’s Dimensity 8100 chip, a 6.6-inch LCD display with an adaptive refresh rate of 144 Hz, and a 5080 mAh battery with the ability to support 67W fast charging.
The LCD panel used in Redmi K50i 5G is of Fringe Field Switching (FFS) type, and this gadget is considered the first Redmi handset with the ability to support Dolby Vision. Redmi uses Gorilla Glass 5 to protect this panel, and the 16-megapixel selfie camera is located in the spherical hole in the center of the screen. This smartphone is equipped with dual speakers with Dolby Atmos technology and the built-in headphone jack has high impedance.
The main 64-megapixel camera on the back panel of the device uses the Samsung ISOCELL GW1 sensor. An 8-megapixel ultra-wide module and a 2-megapixel macro lens make up the other components of the camera system. In terms of software, we see the use of the MIUI 13 user interface based on the Android 12 operating system.
The energy required for this smartphone is supplied by a 5080 mAh battery with the ability to support 67 W fast charging and Power Delivery technology up to 27 W. Wi-Fi 6 connection, Bluetooth 5.3 and infrared port are other prominent features of this handset.
Redmi K50i 5G will be launched in black, blue and silver color models. In terms of pricing, the basic model of this handset equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage will be launched with a price tag of 25,999 rupees ($325). The model equipped with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage is priced at 28,999 rupees ($362). Early buyers can benefit from a discount of 5000 rupees and get the mentioned models for 20999 and 23999 rupees. The general sale of this handset will start at midnight on July 23 (August 1).

On the other hand, Redmi Buds 3 Lite is equipped with 6 mm dynamic drivers, Bluetooth 5.2 connection and the ability to play music for up to 18 hours. Thanks to the IP54 protection certificate, these earphones are resistant to dust and water splashes and are available to customers at a price of 1999 rupees ($25).
The general sale of this product will start at 12 noon on July 31 (August 9) through the mi.com website and the Amazon India store.
