Users of Samsung Galaxy devices probably remember the company’s promise to release the Android 13-based One UI 5 update for the Galaxy S22 series during October.
Now it seems that the Korean giant has fulfilled its promise and reports received from Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra users in Italy indicate the release of the OTA update for the devices offered in this country.
The mentioned package has firmware version number S908BXXU2BVJA and its size is equal to 2854.03 MB. Also, this update includes the latest Android security patch dated October 2022. As expected, the list of changes implemented in this update is quite extensive. However, here are some key features of One UI 5 for the Galaxy S22 series:

- New pop-up notification for calls and new format for notifications
- New management features to apply customized changes in different parts of the device including lock screen, background images and new format for widgets.

The good news for users of the Galaxy S22 family devices is that the release of the One UI 5 and Android 13 stable update for these handsets will begin on Monday, October 24 (November 2) in Europe. Thus, according to Samsung’s announcement, only a few hours are left until the start of this process.
Industry sources claim that Samsung plans to release the One UI 5 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and the Galaxy S21 family before the end of 2022. The Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Fold 2 and possibly the Galaxy A53 are among the candidates to receive the Android 13 update in 2022.
