A few weeks ago, Samsung started releasing One UI 4.1.1 update for Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 smartphones. At the time, the Korean company promised that the update would be rolled out gradually even to older folding models. In the next step, Galaxy Z Fold 2 received this update, and finally yesterday it was the turn of the first generation Galaxy Z Flip. Now the One UI 4.1.1 update has started rolling out for this smartphone in the United States.
As of now, it appears that the new update is only available to devices purchased unlocked by customers. Therefore, models on the contract side of service companies have not yet benefited from this update. This update includes the September 2022 security patch and uses firmware version number F700USQU5GVHA.
Flex Mode is natively presented in the new update and allows users to access computer-like control commands when the phone is partially folded. Also, new gestures have been created for multi-window and pop-up display modes. Now users can set different background images for contacting each audience.
Bixby’s recognition of objects and text is available in applications such as gallery and camera, and improving the search functionality has improved the performance of the My Files program. The Samsung keyboard application provides the possibility to rearrange the buttons for emojis and stickers, and it is also possible to make custom changes to the space bar.
This time, as usual, it is expected that the new update will be released gradually and step by step. Therefore, it will probably take several days or even several weeks for all Samsung Galaxy Z Flip devices to access this update worldwide.
