Huawei breaks tradition! Huawei’s first mid-range foldable phone on the way to the market

Reports suggest that the new version of the Huawei P50 Pocket folding smartphone will be launched under the name P50 Pocket S. The Huawei P50 Pocket is said to come in two versions this year. One of them will use the Snapdragon 778G 4G processor and the other will use the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 4G. Of course, currently only one of these two models has received the desired license from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The P50 Pocket S smartphone comes with a Snapdragon 778G processor and will be priced at $830. For a better price comparison, it is worth mentioning that the original version of P50 Pocket with Snapdragon 888 processor costs around $1,250 in China. As a result, the price difference of about four hundred dollars cannot be ignored.

It is expected that we will see the release of the P50 Pocket S smartphone this year.

It can be said that so far no big company has sent a mid-range folding mobile phone to the market, in fact, folding phones have always been among the price phones in the market and buyers had to pay exorbitant fees to get them. But Huawei wants to break tradition and launch the first mid-range foldable phone from a major company.

Of course, the success of this idea depends on the acceptance of people and buyers, mid-range foldable phones are weaker in terms of hardware than their competitors due to the existence of new technologies. For example, the P50 Pocket S model, despite the fact that it costs more than $800, uses the Snapdragon 778G chip, which is found in $300 phones. Now we have to see if the buyers will pay this price to buy a folding phone with normal hardware or not!
