Before this, many details about the upcoming Google flagship smartphone have been published. Google has also revealed various details about the Pixel 7. Pixel 7 Pro will have more zoom capability than Pixel 6 Pro

According to most published reports, the display, the resolution of the rear camera and the batteries used by the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones will be the same as their previous generation models. Therefore, it is expected that the Google Pixel 7 Pro will be equipped with a 6.7-inch display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a triple camera configuration on the back panel, including a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 48-megapixel telephoto module. According to the new information, it is expected that the telephoto lens of this handset will have the ability to zoom 5 times; While Pixel 6 Pro supports 4x optical zoom.

Earlier, some rumors mentioned Google’s decision to use new parts for the telephoto camera. However, new information suggests that the Super Resolution digital zoom range has also increased from 20x to 30x.

List of possible specifications of Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro

New software features

Pixel 6 Pro uses its telephoto camera to capture macro images. However, it seems that the Pixel 7 Pro can capture better close-up photos despite its improved focus capability. This feature is called “macro focus”. Pixel 6 is also equipped with a feature called Motion Mode. This software feature, with the ability to add a blur effect to moving elements in a still image, makes the Pixel 6 a great camera smartphone.

According to recently leaked information, dual models of the Pixel 7 series will be launched with a feature called “Movie Motion Blur”. This feature seems to allow adding a blur effect to videos to create more dramatic clips.

Finally, the face unlock feature will probably return to the Pixel 7 series

Like the Pixel 6, the Google Pixel 7 will use a 6.3-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a dual rear camera configuration. However, the resolution of the selfie camera will be increased from 8 to 11 megapixels. Such progress not only helps to improve image quality; It will also help the better performance of the face unlock feature, which is mentioned in the feature sheet of the handsets. Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL phones were launched with dedicated camera hardware for face unlock, and based on rumors, this feature was supposed to be added to Pixel 6 Pro as well; But this scenario never materialized.

Apparently, Google will use 2-pixel autofocus (PDAF) to create depth mapping for the 11-megapixel camera. Currently, Google uses the PDAF feature to create depth maps for portrait mode. Also, the built-in tensor chip allows for faster and more accurate face recognition for photography. From a theoretical point of view, it seems that Pixel 6 Pro can support Face Unlock feature; But Google has refused to provide this feature due to existing concerns about battery charging.

Pixel 7 series handsets will be equipped with the new Tensor G2 chip. This chip is produced based on a more modern technology and this will probably help to optimize energy consumption. The use of such a chip will probably encourage Google to use Face Unlock in its future handsets. After all, apparently the Pixel 7 selfie camera will produce more accurate images with better autofocus. Also, we now know that the overall design of this handset is similar to its previous generation model, and Google will only make some modifications in order to create a more eye-catching appearance for it.

The Pixel 7 series will be fully introduced along with the first Google smartwatch on September 6 (October 14). According to rumors, customers will get a free Pixel Watch device if they pre-purchase the Pixel 7 Pro smartphone. It is also expected that Google will mention more details about the Pixel tablet during its event on Thursday. In addition, providing brief information about the rumored Pixel Fold folding device will not be too far from the expectation.
