Tim Cook; The CEO of Apple announced in his recent interview that the long-term goal of the American company is to not have to use any resources on earth to produce its products. In fact, the goal of this company is to produce smartphones from waste or recycled products. According to Mr. Cook, it is important for Apple to produce its products in an environmentally friendly way. In addition to his statements, he claimed: “We intend to make the earth a better place to live, both in terms of the materials used and the recycling of materials.”

In addition, Tim Cook claims that the company has achieved carbon neutrality under his leadership. Also, according to him, Apple hopes that by 2030, the supply chain sources and products used by consumers will not produce carbon. Mr. Cook believes that Apple can produce products without using any resources on Earth.

This is only a long-term goal for Apple and not something that the Cupertino giant will achieve in the near future. Of course, the misunderstanding about Apple’s purpose has led to heated discussions about the company’s claims. In the meantime, some believe that Apple is only deceiving naive users. However, such a claim may not seem very fair; Because Apple has worked hard to achieve this goal and has already become the top company in the industry.

Apple needs environmentally friendly devices

However, it should be noted that Mr. Cook’s statement does not mean that Apple will use foreign sources. In fact, this company plans to use recycled materials and environmentally friendly compounds. Therefore, Apple’s ultimate goal is to produce smartphones using waste and protecting the environment.

In this regard, the Cupertino giant stopped using the plastic layer as the cover of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro phone boxes last year. This measure saved 600 tons of plastic. At the same time, mainly recycled materials are used for the production, construction and packaging of Apple iPhone 13 series phones. For example, the internal touch engine of these handsets uses 100% recycled tungsten. Therefore, 99% of the tungsten content in the entire device has been used to produce this part. The plating layer for the main board is produced using 100% recycled tungsten, and 100% recycled gold is also used to produce the front and back camera cables of the phone.
