Apple has informed its developers that it will soon increase App Store tariffs in several countries, including countries that use the Euro. However, Europe is not the only region that will see price increases; Because the Cupertino giant noted that prices will increase in Chile, Egypt, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Poland, South Korea, Sweden and Vietnam.

According to the plans, these changes will be applied from October 5 (October 13). This tariff increase includes current programs and in-app purchases. However, subscriptions that can be renewed automatically will not be subject to this tariff increase. Apple has provided explanations by publishing a note about some specific changes in Vietnam.

These increases in Vietnam reflect the company’s new approach to collecting and paying applicable taxes, including Value Added Tax (VAT) and Corporate Income Tax (CIT) at a rate of 5 percent. Apple will update the Pricing and Availability sections of My Apps with the price increase. Also, developers can change the pricing of their apps and in-app purchases if they see fit.
Apple has recently started contacting developers and encouraging them to purchase advertising space in the App Store. The reason for such action is the imminent expansion of advertising platforms by the Cupertino giant.
