Android 12L update has been released for Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series

The new Galaxy Z Fold 4 smartphone is the first Samsung device to use Android 12L based software. Of course, the tablet-oriented version of Android will also be released for Samsung Galaxy tablets, and this process will begin with the Galaxy Tab S8 series. This update has been released with version numbers X80xBXXU2AVH5, X70xBXXU2AVH2 and X90xBXXU2AVH2 for Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8 Plus and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra tablets respectively.

This update is available for both Wi-Fi and 5G versions of the above tablets and includes the August 2022 Android security patch. But now the question arises, what new features or facilities does the new update include?

The taskbar allows you to quickly launch programs or switch between them without having to use DeX Mode. This includes applications running in split screen mode. Also, users can use 2-finger gestures to switch between full-screen or split-screen modes. In addition, users will have access to an option to open applications in a floating window.

Also, the new update adds the ability to extract text from the image to the Galaxy Tab S8 family. This feature supports Chinese, French, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish and of course English. Smart actions will appear next to the text. For example, users can call the phone number registered in the image of a business card. My Files application can search the information inside the files, including the text in the images.

Also, other improvements can be seen in the new update. For example, Samsung’s Internet browser allows users to reorganize their favorite sites through drag-and-drop gestures. It is also possible to sort bookmarks. Finally, users can set a set of images as the background image for the lock screen and later edit it if desired.
